About the Exhibition

Acclaimed artist and textile designer Uzo Njoku is launching a one-of-a-kind solo exhibition in Lagos that explores the powerful intersection of textile and art. This immersive, month-long pop-up will blend fashion, culture, and contemporary art, drawing local and international audiences.

We’re looking for a Lagos-based Events Coordinator to bring this exhibition to life through unforgettable experiences—think vibrant opening night, dynamic programming, and smooth daily operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan and execute key events: Opening night, VIP previews, artist talks, workshops, and closing.

  • Coordinate event logistics: Booking vendors, managing schedules, securing permits (if needed), and ensuring seamless day-of execution.

  • Collaborate with the Artistr, Production team, and PR/Marketing Lead to align all activations with the exhibition’s vision.

  • Manage guest lists, RSVPs, and on-site staff or volunteers.

  • Create and maintain event budgets and timelines.

  • Be on-the-ground support throughout the pop-up—proactive, solution-oriented, and cool under pressure.

You’re Perfect for This Role If You:

  • Have experience managing events in the art, fashion, or cultural space.

  • Know how to turn a concept into a compelling, well-run experience.

  • Have strong organizational skills and can juggle moving parts like a pro.

  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-impact environments with tight timelines.

  • Have a network of trusted vendors (catering, rentals, security, etc.) and a deep knowledge of the Lagos events scene.

  • Are passionate about the arts and excited to shape a landmark cultural moment.
